After years as an award-winning Magazine editor, Alex Bhattacharji (he/him) Reinvented himself into a widely-read Journalist, Storyteller, producer, and first-time author.

In two decades as a top editor in the magazine industry (the last nine years at Condé Nast’s Details), Alex led and launched culture-shaping publications, worked with some of America’s leading writers, championed new literary voices, and was recognized with the National Magazine Award for General Excellence.

As a writer, Alex has produced profiles, essays, and narrative features of all stripes. His work has appeared in numerous publications, including Bloomberg Businessweek, Condé Nast Traveler, Departures, Details, Entertainment Weekly, Esquire, Fast Company, GQ, The Hollywood Reporter, Inc., InStyle, Los Angeles Magazine, The Los Angeles Times, Medium, Men’s Health, Men’s Journal, The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Salon, T: The New York Times Style Magazine, Town & Country, Travel + Leisure, Wired, and WSJ. Magazine. Alex is at work on his first book, scheduled for publication in fall 2026.

In 2024, Alex co-founded Feature Well Productions, which develops narrative audio, print, and documentary projects that start in the non-fiction space but have the potential to go far beyond.

A proud son of Flatbush, Brooklyn, Alex followed in the Dodgers’ footsteps, migrating to the East Side of Los Angeles, where he resides with his wife and celebrity dog, Primo.
